Three’s Classroom

We’ve cleared a footpath to Preschool with our Three’s program. It’s built to meet the needs of 30- to 42-month-old children. We guide them toward working with others, following directions, following established routines, and developing a skill set that will turn them into independent learners.

Curriculum & learning Goals

Jr. Kindergarten Classroom

The format and structure of a day in kindergarten is introduced, as we help children to develop critical skills for elementary school success. This program offers kindergarten-level lessons in reading, writing, and math. This classroom provides young 5-year-olds and older 4-year-olds with a strong focus on following multi-step instructions, finding multiple ways to solve problems, organizing work, controlling impulses and sustaining attention.

Language & Literacy

Naming all letters in the alphabet, both upper and lowercase; assembling sounds in order; reading and writing short words; engaging in early reading, writing, vocabulary, and communication.

Nature & Science

Understanding numbers, patterns, sorting and ordering, and geometry; using numbers to add, subtract, measure, and graph.

Math

Sorting, ordering, adding, subtracting, measuring, graphing; understanding numbers and patterns.

Physical Development / Health

Using fine and gross motor skills to navigate the classroom environment, as well as gaining an understanding of health and nutrition.

Self-Help & Social Skills

Compromising in a situation of conflict; asking questions to learn about topics presented in their classroom.
